When buyers source jewelry, one common question is:
Is this jewelry safe for skin contact?
For the materials we mainly use, the answer is yes.
Our jewelry is mainly made from 316L stainless steel, pure titanium and pure red copper. These are all common materials used for jewelry and everyday skin contact.
316L stainless steel is strong, corrosion-resistant and widely used for bracelets, rings, necklaces and watches.
Pure titanium is especially popular for people who care about skin sensitivity because it is lightweight, corrosion-resistant and has a very low risk of causing metal sensitivity.
Pure red copper is also widely used for bracelets, rings and other jewelry. Copper itself has a low sensitization risk, although natural copper may sometimes leave a green or dark mark on the skin after contact with sweat. This is a normal reaction between copper, sweat and air and does not mean the jewelry is unsafe.
We also pay close attention to the raw materials we use. For us, jewelry safety starts with choosing the right material and controlling the production process.
Below are some of the questions buyers often ask us.

Buyer: Is your jewelry safe to wear every day?

Us: Yes.
Our main materials are 316L stainless steel, pure titanium and pure red copper. All three are commonly used for jewelry and normal skin contact.
Of course, everyone's skin is different, so no metal can guarantee zero reaction for every person.

Buyer: Is 316L stainless steel safe for skin?

Us: Yes. 316L stainless steel is one of the most common materials used for everyday jewelry.
It is strong, corrosion-resistant and suitable for long-term skin contact when good-quality material and proper finishing are used.
This is why 316L stainless steel is widely used for bracelets, rings, necklaces and watches.

Buyer: Does 316L stainless steel contain nickel?

Us: Yes.
316L stainless steel normally contains nickel as part of the metal itself.
But for jewelry, the important point is not simply whether the metal contains nickel. What matters more is how much nickel is released from the surface when it touches the skin.
Good-quality 316L stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance, which helps keep nickel release low.

Buyer: What is the EU nickel release limit for jewelry?

Us: For jewelry that has direct and prolonged contact with the skin, EU REACH sets the nickel release limit at:
≤ 0.5 μg/cm²/week
For posts used in pierced ears or other pierced parts of the body, the limit is stricter:
< 0.2 μg/cm²/week
These numbers refer to nickel release from the jewelry surface, not the total amount of nickel inside the metal.

Buyer: Is pure titanium good for sensitive skin?

Us: Yes. Pure titanium is one of the most popular jewelry materials for buyers who care about sensitive skin.
It is lightweight, corrosion-resistant and has very good biocompatibility.
This is also why titanium is widely used for skin-contact and piercing-related products.

Buyer: Is pure titanium jewelry nickel free?

Us: The main body of our pure titanium jewelry is made from titanium, not stainless steel.
Pure titanium is commonly chosen by buyers who want to avoid nickel-related skin sensitivity.
However, if you need to officially sell a finished product as nickel free, we recommend checking the complete jewelry style first.
Clasps, decorative parts, magnets or other small components may also need to be considered.

Buyer: Is pure red copper safe for skin?

Us: Yes. Pure red copper is widely used for bracelets, rings and other jewelry that touches the skin.
Copper itself has a relatively low risk of causing metal sensitivity.
However, copper may react with sweat, skin oils and air. This can sometimes leave a temporary green or dark mark on the skin.
This is normal for natural copper and does not mean the jewelry is unsafe.

Buyer: Why does copper jewelry sometimes turn skin green?

Us: This usually happens because copper reacts with sweat, moisture or skin oils.
The reaction can create copper salts on the surface, which may leave a green mark on the skin.
It is usually temporary and can be washed off.
This is a normal characteristic of copper jewelry, not automatically a sign of poor quality or unsafe material.

Buyer: Does your jewelry contain lead or cadmium?

Us: This depends on the material, components and product design.
We do not like to say that every single jewelry style is exactly the same without checking the product.
We carefully control the raw materials used in our jewelry.
If your market has specific requirements for lead, cadmium or nickel, please tell us before ordering and we can check the requirement for your order.

Buyer: Do you have a REACH report?

Us: Yes.
We currently have a REACH test report for our pure red copper jewelry.
For stainless steel or titanium jewelry, if your market requires a specific REACH test, nickel release test or other chemical test, please tell us the product and requirement first.
We can arrange testing when necessary.

Buyer: Can you provide test reports before a wholesale order?

Us: Yes.
Please tell us:
  • the jewelry style
  • the material
  • the country or market where you will sell it
  • the test or standard you need
For our pure red copper jewelry, we already have a REACH report available.
For other specific products, we can discuss the required testing before production.

Buyer: Can you make jewelry for the EU market?

Us: Yes.
For EU buyers, the main jewelry safety concerns often include nickel release, lead and cadmium.
If you are selling in the EU, please tell us before production.
We can check the material, product structure and testing requirement based on the exact jewelry style.
We prefer to check the real product instead of simply saying that every product has the same certification.

Buyer: Which jewelry material is best for sensitive skin?

Us: If skin sensitivity is your main concern, pure titanium is usually the first material we recommend.
316L stainless steel is also widely used for skin-contact jewelry because of its good corrosion resistance and low nickel release when the material and surface are properly controlled.
Pure red copper is also suitable for normal skin contact, but it may naturally react with sweat and leave temporary marks on the skin.
